DENTAL BONDING
1.
First, our dentists will examine your teeth and determine if dental bonding is suitable for your specific needs. If it is, they will select a composite resin shade that matches the natural color of your teeth.
2.
Then, our dentists will lightly roughen the surface of the tooth to ensure proper adhesion of the bonding material. This usually does not require anesthesia and is painless.
3.
Next, we’ll apply a conditioning liquid to the tooth, which helps the bonding material adhere to the tooth surface. They will then apply the composite resin in layers, shaping and sculpting it to achieve the desired result. A special light is used to harden the resin at each layer.
4.
Once the bonding material has hardened, one of our dentists will shape the bonding material further, ensuring a seamless integration with your natural teeth. Finally, they will polish the bonded tooth, giving it a smooth and natural appearance.
Dental bonding typically lasts between 3 and 10 years, with proper care and maintenance.
