Tooth Extractions
Are you ready to bid farewell to that troublesome tooth? Let us guide you through the process of tooth extraction at Breez Dental. Our dental office in Surprise, AZ, can handle a variety of extraction cases. Trust our dental professionals to address your concerns, alleviate any anxieties, and ensure a successful extraction that promotes your overall oral health.
Pulling a tooth may be necessary when a tooth is damaged beyond repair from decay, trauma, or gum disease. While it may sound intimidating at first, dental extractions are a straightforward process to relieve pain, prevent future complications, and maintain your overall oral health. Every extraction is handled with care and precision, with your comfort as our top priority.
1.
Using imaging tools, we’ll assess the tooth and explain our recommended approach. In most cases, we use a local anesthetic to numb the affected area completely. We also offer sedation.

3.
We’ll place gauze over the site and discuss how to care for the area. You’ll also receive a detailed aftercare guide. You can reach out with any follow-up questions or concerns.
Dry socket occurs when the blood clot at the extraction site comes out or dissolves, exposing the bone and nerves. Symptoms are increased pain a few days after the extraction, bad breath, or an unpleasant taste. If this sounds familiar, get emergency care.
Yes! Most general dentists, including the Surprise general dentists at Breez Dental, are fully equipped to perform simple and surgical extractions. Dr. Badall can even remove wisdom teeth.
Dr. Badall recommends waiting at least 24–48 hours, though we may advise longer in certain cases. The suction created by using a straw can dislodge the blood clot, increasing the risk of dry socket. During this time, focus on drinking from a cup or spoon.
Some discomfort or soreness is normal after an extraction, but it should be manageable with over-the-counter pain medications and closely following your aftercare instructions. Severe or persistent pain is uncommon and should be evaluated by our dentist.
